| Soooo it's the 17th of September and I haven't really typed much in a while. Recent events time for me and Joel! 1) Joel moved into his apartment successfully the 15th of August and it's such a blast there. There's something different about going to his "apartment" rather than to "his house with his roommate" or somethin like that. I have to say it's nice to buy food and know it's there the next day when both of us are gone from the place. Do I live there? Maybe a lil bit. I still reside with my parents but I do stay with Joel when he has days off. 2) Joel got a second job! He works the night shift at one of the Targets in town and I must say that though he makes enough money to pay his bills and have bunchies of monies left over, I miss him something fierce. I guess when you get used to being around someone for so long in a certain pattern, when that pattern shifts it's hard to adjust at first. It's been almost 2 months since he got the job and we both agreed that in the long run, it's worth it now. Though it sucks rocks not seeing each other as we were. Some might argue that it's unhealthy to see a person they are involved with almost on a 24/7 basis...but I just say I'm lucky that someone wants me around as much as I want him around. ANYWAYS, away from mushy crap. 3) This semester is going by rather interestingly. School wise anyways. I've started to skip classes again, which, lets face it, it's a hard habit to break when you've been doing it for so long. I decided I can suffer and goto classes at least twice a week (of the ones I have been skipping) because honestly, my schedule is not bad since there is no Choir involvement. Oh yeah, my senior recital is comin up on Oct. 30th...and I'm psyched about it. It'll be an experiance that a lot of people will remember about me....I'm inviting so many rich and important people that I serve at the club and it's just...wow. 4) Had the crap scared out of me for no reason. Well, it's a perfectly sound reason, not even a blonde moment. So I was doing laundry at Joel's apartment complex at the 24 hr laundry mat at 3 to 4:30 in the morning. (no picnic doing all that laundry between the two of us) I get to Joel's apartment building and I get out of my car to go unlock the door so I can get the clothes upstairs. This dark SUV pulls up in the street and slowly stops near my car. There was this guy that was just staring at me and he slowly got out of the car. I can't tell you how fast I walked up to that door and quickly unlocked the mo-fo and basically sprinted inside the apartment, locking the door behind me. My heart was beating so fast....anyways. I hear this thud and I thought that sounded kinda odd. So I open the door and peek out....it was the friggin newspaper deliverer putting the Eagle at the doorstep. ME = RETARD!!! however...can't be too safe. That's it for now =) ~ Vina =) | | |
| So it's been a while since I actually typed on this stupid thing. The last time I attempted to do this, the computer decided to erase minutes of hard work of figuring out what exactly to type. I'm sure to whoever is reading this, you have felt the same. So updates. Personal? I'm still dating Joel. He's actually getting an apartment the fifteenth of August so I think that would be fantastic for us both to get used to each other before next year. School? I'm taking a summer class at the moment that deals with secondary rehearsal techniques. Quite a fascinating class, really. It'll help a lot before I student teach in the spring. Work? Ah yes work. I still work at the Wichita Country Club and that, outside of school and Joel, is my only profession. Joel, on the other hand, got a second job as an overnight stocker at Target in Greenwich and 21st. He says that instead of fitting his sleep schedule to work, he just found work to match his sleep schedule. Yeah...I like sleep at night sometimes...but jeez.... Current events and random topics 1-a) So today...er...yesterday (since it's 1 am)...the dude that owns Wild West World outside of Wichita, KS declared bancruptcy after just 2 months of the park being opened. WOW. Way to go and holy crap for all that money spent! He blamed it on the constant rain we've been having and the fact that people just didn't wanna go there. Yeah, it's a glorified Joyland... So well done there! I will say it looked...interesting driving by it on the highway, but man, don't go on Hyrdaulic behind it....lil fence protecting the grounds. You'd think it'd go on forever 1-b) So...just a small interesting tidbit to tack on at the end of this topic, some guy decided to bring his family down to Wichita specifically to goto Wild West World. Apparently, Worlds of Fun was too expensive. So they got to the gates and it said "closed" and the guy actually said that he felt like Clark Griswald. (yes, laugh for all who know that movie.) Okay, one - the hell are you coming to a place like WWW when Worlds of Fun is 100 times...no...1000 times better than that?! I mean COME ON! I'd rather goto a place that has a hot air balloon as it's symbol rather than a cowboy riding "WWW" with a lasso. Geez. and two....COME ON, WILD WEST WORLD OVER WORLDS OF FUN?! The hell is wrong with you?! 2) I actually picked up something else to classify me as a first rate nerd. Though I play world of Warcraft whenever possible, I also took up playing D & D every Friday night when time allows me to do so. WHY?! I have no idea. Maybe cause Joel talked me into it....or I like to watch the guys' faces when I show up with tons of goodies to munch on because that's what I do when I play games. Apparently, they love the food I bring and that I'm also a female nerd that enjoys "WoW" and knows what the Boondock Saints is. Woot for me. 3) Something that has gotten me excited was the fact that I picked up my scetch book again to draw my DBZ and other fanart of Japanese Anime. I missed doing it so much since High School that I finally said "Screw it, I'm re-drawing my scetches that were stolen along with my backpack!" So there you have it. 4) HARRY POTTER seems to be the topic of conversation now adays at work and yeah, I have my pass that guarentees me a book of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows at midnight on the day it comes out on sale. I was pleased to hear from Darren that the movie five is very close to what the book has. Which of course means before I see it next week I need to re-read that particular Harry Book. That doesn't bother me in the least, but I will have to put down my new books I just bought. Okay, enough rambling for now. Must get back to watchin mah movie and I'll write more as everything happens. Ja ne! ~ Vina | | |
| So incase you didn't know I had a birthday last week on Wednesday and turned 23. Woot! Should it be legal to see "300" twice in the first couple weeks it's out in theaters? Cause I did and it was fantastic. "Spartans!! What is your profession?! AROO!!! AROO!! AROO!!!!!" Yeahhhh So stress is hangin over my shoulders like a nasty itchy blanket. My left eye has been twitching and pulsing for about three weeks straight now which probably means I'm exhausted. For what reason, we'll probably never know. I'm not as busy as some people are and yet...man. Serving rich people is hard sometimes! Easter went off at the club without a hitch. I worked almost 10 hrs that day but I don't mind with time and a half for pay. Went to Chili's to eat the other day and found out that a friend of mine and Joel's works there now so methinks we'll pay her a visit next Wednesday. Saturday is the Shrine Circus and I'm singing the National Anthem all 3 performances on Saturday. Got a lot of people from work goin to so that'll be fun! CIRCUS!!! Lessee what else. Oh I actually turned in my FER #1 ON TIME this year! Usually my FERs are crap and turned in late but damn it, I did everything early and just wrote it at the last minute. (For those that need help with the full completion of "FER" it's "Field Experiance Requirement" and the #1 is just the first in many that there are. This one was the cultural/ethnic one.) So that paper is off my back and now for playing wild catchup in my other classes. I'm hungry now so I'll go cash mah check and then go eat so everyone enjoy their day and until next time you crazies. AROO!!! ~ Vina This week's font ~ "BibleScrT" | | |

So I have decided that since Cortney and Ashley insist on being called "Malibu" and "Disco" barbie, that I would come up with something to match and ERUEKA! I did. I am BRUNETTE Barbie, seen in the 1997 Special Edition of the Holiday Barbies. Oh yeah, pretty in RED, not pink, RED, green eyes, NOT BLUE, and brunette, NOT BLONDE. Life can be entertaining.... So...yeah, nothing else to report. I turn 23 in about two weeks ar so. Woot! Oh yeah, Joel, myself, and his two roomates Ivan and Chris are all going to see the movie 300 tomorrow night (i realize this is after midnight and it's officially "tomorrow" as in Monday, but I dunt care. I'm awake) and we are going to have FUN!! As Ivan said, it's 100,000 guys killing 300 and saying "screw you guys, I'm goin home". 100,000 scared of 300. Love it. Good times. So that about covers updates. Oh yeah, Joel deamed me unworthy to keep buying books *sigh* so we must rent because of how fast I read. Oh well. HAPPY FEET COMING TO VIDEO ON TUESDAY!!! HELL YEEEEAH BABY!! Okay, I'm done. Love to all! ~ Vina | | |
| six wierd things: 1) The majority of all my close friends tend to be male ~ I only have a handful of female friends I don't get pissed at on a regular basis. 2) My best work on term papers is usually done the night before they are due ~ From being a procrastonator I think. 3) I get really tipsy off of 3 SMIRNOFF ICE...sad....(worse than Richie) 4) Though I have a 2004 Saturn Ion and it's a great car, I would give anything to go back to my '91 Pontiac Grand Prix SE (1st car) 5) My boyfriend and I are planning our wedding... and we aren't even engaged yet =) (Aug. 2, 2008...good times) 6) I'm moving out of my house at the end of July, my first official appartment out of my parents house....sad...I know. I Tag JANEA!!! Woot! ~ Vina =) | | |
